  • Washed in the Son

    Sun “bathe”,

IN the Son of the Day.

    Rinse in His rays;

    being baptized by His shine;

be brain ”washed “ in His glory,

through the crown of the Divine.

Leaving the park with my son after sitting in the sun watching him play

  • The melody of music

When listening to songs with instrumentals or music attached to them you’re not just listening to one story being told. You are listening to multiple stories being told as each instrument; from the vocal cords to whatever instruments are being used in a song that is played; each instrument is telling stories and speaking to your heart, thoughts, and body.

There are so many different messages of melody that are being delivered and analyzed by our brains and interpreted by the spirit. It depends upon the heart of the person listening to know if they will enjoy and continue to listen to any messages that are being told to them or if they are going to skip to the next song.

It’s kind of like when I used to love a lot of songs but then when I outgrew them, especially when I learned what I was saying in songs that I didn’t agree with, I no longer wanted to listen to those said songs anymore. I no longer wanted to be on the journey and the ride that used to carry me away with the sound of melody that those songs presented.

Music is beautiful, but it’s so very sad that I have noticed many different types of religions and ideologies that would claim to be different from one another; but would all have the same legalistic approach in saying that music is evil…

    No.

To me, that is like also saying that a human being is evil, but this type of accusation coming from someone would not be based on that person’s fruit or their heart (and we can’t know that anyway) but that this type of comment would be said based off of just unrighteously judging the observation that since the majority of the human population does evil things than human beings, in general, are evil.

I have seen this very same style of judgment in the case of judging anime as I would hear people saying that since the majority of anime is false and sinful, then therefore, all anime is evil…

This is a false style of judgment.

It is the same false style of judgment when someone unrighteously judges music as ALL being evil if they get to this conclusion by saying that the majority of music has sinful messages.

Music is creation that comes from the Creators; just like humans are creation that comes from their Creator. God is the Creator. He is good. He is the Truth. His message is the Truth.

Messages that are not the truth; that are being told in the stories and the melodies of music that are being played; are what would be considered evil — not the tool or the composition. It is the composer who would have to desire perversion in their heart over the truth, leading them to compose perversion into a song, sung by them and resulting in delivering messages of falsehood. This would be considered sinful.

It is not the music that is evil but the message that is considered sinful, when it is in adversity to the truth.

And that will be because the music will not be glorifying God, who is the truth. The composer would be glorifying sin, perversion, and lies; because the composer would not be doing everything for the glory of God as they should.

A lie would be glorified in the melody of music instead of the truth and this is evil.

It is because, at that point, different types of stories would be told in the messages that would be delivered in this kind of music that glorifies a lie.
It would be manipulating the listener and in most cases without the listeners’ approval and realization. The person who listens to lies through music becomes numb and their heart becomes dull and cold and this would all be because the messages and the melody that they would be meditating on would be dark and cold.

There is no light or warmth in lies…

And so the longer that a person listens to this type of melody, the harder and colder their heart becomes. Even to the point where their conscience becomes numb because the messages would be enforcing this numbness and shutting off all senses while killing the listener slowly.

None of this glorifies the Father.

    The problem is not music…

What I have described is just the wrong type of melody.

It gets even worse when melodies that glorify lies are spoken in sung, wrapped in parallel to music that delivers messages of melancholy and destruction.

But when a person delights in the melody that comes from the Voice of God, they are listening to melodies from Heaven, and every verse that is spoken from His lips is received with a thirst for an encore that is quenched before requested.

And it becomes a lot easier to distinguish and decipher between the different types of melodies and messages of music that are giving off the illusion of the truth while being very far from it.

And this will be because you no longer listen to the illusion, but the illumination that only comes from the Light of men found in the Voice of God.

As I’ve been walking with Christ, I no longer fear displeasing Him by listening to the wrong music because He has confirmed to me and reminds me about how He is in me and that whatever He does not delight in I also will not either.

It is because of this that I will know if the melody is not meant for me when and before the first note initiates.

I will know if this is another message meant for my soul or another that I will press skip on.

We cannot glorify the Father in our thoughts if we choose to meditate on music and the melody that follows; that would tell the message of lies that glorify sin.

A heart that meditates and is amused by the glorification of lies is a heart, as I said earlier, that is cold, numb, and has no life. It does not beat like a drum.

So the dead are amused by the performance of the dead and what the dead speak. But no life is going to be coming from the dead.

Those types of verses only result in curses.

But I will prostrate before the Father and I will play His melodies that He gives to me that would be flowing from the orchestra of my heart to His.

It is His verses and melodies that are never-ending and forever healing…

…forever on replay in my soul.

  • The Son and the Stars in the sky…

I know this is random, but I was just thinking about how what if the sun is the only source of light in the sky and the stars in the sky are only reflecting the light that is coming from the sun and are not balls of gas?

Because I was thinking about how in the Scriptures before people followed God through understanding, the written word people followed Him through oration and phonetic speaking.

So when you think about it, the sun, or the SON of God, is the light that rules over the day as mentioned in Genesis chapter 1. The lesser light rules over the night, which is the moon. The moon only reflects the light of the sun (Son), giving the illusion of being a source of light when it is not THE source of light because the sun (Son) is. The lesser light is the Devil that operates in the shadows and darkness which is why religions of the world have used the moon as the symbol of their faith because that religion came from the devil and not God, such as Islam.

The Son of God is Jesus and He is the light of men as it is written in the scriptures. The sun in the sky is the light of men that shows us the “Way” we need to go and allows us to “See” when we walk upright IN the day. Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world so that the blind could see; because before knowing the Son we only knew darkness and the false light that comes from Satan who masquerade as an angel of light.

Jesus calls us to be the light of the world because we are a reflection of Him made in His image and likeness through faith and He is the Light (the sun) that is in us when we believe in Him. He says He came so that we would no longer remain in darkness. This only happens when the sun (Son) has “risen” and shines brightly in the day and those of us who walk according to the day “see” Him but those who still walk according to the night are asleep because they sleep through the day and operate at night.

So I was just thinking about what if the stars in the sky were really a reflection of the light from the Son (sun) and the light from the stars are seen in the world through reflection of the Hand of God (Jesus), who again who is the Light, just as we are a reflection of the light of Christ who is the Son…who is seen in the world to be a light in this dark world… so no one is with excuse for as God says everything He made is clearly seen, even His eternal Godhead so there’s no excuse to believe that there is no Creator. His hand is in everything and His Right Hand, Jesus, is the Light that shines on everything we see just like the sun does.

I wonder this about the stars being a reflection of the sun just as we are lights of the world as a reflection of Jesus because remember how the Fathers had said to Abraham to look at the stars:

“And the LORD took him outside and said, “Now look to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able.” Then He told him, “So shall your offspring be.”

Abram believed in the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness
    – Genesis 15:5-6

God blessed Abraham to be the father over many nations; many people = many lights in the sky that were to be in the present tense (the light of the world) through Christ.

Symbolically the stars represent all of the people who will believe in God through faith, just as Abraham believed in God through faith and it is by faith that God counted Abraham as righteous and us as righteous.

The stars in the sky represented the children of Abraham. The stars are smaller lights in the sky. The Son (sun) of God is the greater light of the sky, and we are called sons (suns) of God (smaller lights like the stars in the sky) when have faith in Him and have been adopted as sons (suns) of God and are the (light) of the world through the greater Light which is Christ.

Idk Just a random thought crossed my mind when I was meditating on God. Just wanted to share it.

  • When I hear the phrase, “God bless America”…

    God will only bless America

when America will believe and obey Him through His Son Jesus

Otherwise, America won’t accept or agree to God’s blessing because they won’t agree or believe in God and will have their definition of what a blessing and Messiah should look like…they will accept another as Jesus says:

“I come in my Father’s name but you won’t accept me, but if another man comes in his name you will accept him….”

The “god” that America will be “blessed” by and accept will be the god of this world the devil…

This is the same “god” that many Americans put their trust in as seen on the dollar bill “In “god” we trust”

hence why America is taking a downturn because most of America puts their trust in the lies of the father of lies the devil and not the truth and blessing of God who is Jesus….

  • I Never Liked the Phrase, “Let’s Agree to disagree.”

When we aren’t in agreement then how can we AGREE to disagree.

If we’re not IN agreement we won’t be able to AGREE to anything.

It’s like as Jesus tells us, “How can two walk together unless they be in agreement?”

Well if we ain’t in agreement, we ain’t walking together so we can’t AGREE to disagree because we aren’t walking together TO agree to anything.

That phrase just seems like a way of trying to please everyone. If you want to keep the peace with someone without arguing then don’t lie and say you agree with someone that you actually don’t. Just don’t argue.

If you’re telling the truth & someone disagrees with the truth, then they WILL disagree with you because they didn’t AGREE with the truth.

You can’t agree with someone who disagrees with the truth of God no matter how fancy the statement may be. Water and oil can’t mix or AGREE.

  • My field notes acts as a buffer for my main ministry websites

So on a side note, I looked up the word buffer out of curiosity and had a laugh for the night.

But anyway, back on point on why my field notes are acting as a buffer for my main ministry websites.

I made a personal rule for myself to look at this site in the same way that I would look at a social media site when posting on it, whenever I do post on social media.

So, when I am on social media (past or present) and decide to post something; just about anything comes to mind and the amount of time that goes between thinking and posting is limited even when I used to post a lot.

I mean, of course, I consider what I’m about to post before I post it, but even that consideration goes as far as how I would think when I am texting someone. I’m going to think before I post, but I don’t have to think too long because it’s a conversation piece that I would be sending; not some long synopsis, thesis statement, or academic exhortation—just informal diction…

Diction where there would be no need to do a lot of proofreading and revising, to where I can write and smash that publish button after running the draft through a quick check.

That’s the same thing that I want to do here for my field notes! The theory goes: the more that I post on this site in the same way and mindset that I would post on social media, then the more that I could end up writing to hopefully make a daily habit of writing, where even if I’m not posting daily that’s alright; the habit would be formed while having fun; and the longer essays that require more of my time that would be posted on my other websites, will be easier to write consistently because my field notes acted as a buffer for my writing habit.

So, this is one way that I look at my field notes. I don’t think this should be too hard. When I was more “social” on social media, I could easily post every day and sometimes multiple times a day. Now I have better things to do with my time. With having this same mentality here for my field notes, I may not see this as a chore, but see it as the little time that I spend online socializing and reflecting, while still curating content for Christ.

  • Knowing about a lot of things is not all that great

Knowing about a lot of things is not that great because more thinking is involved with knowing. With more thinking involved it feels great for a time and is stimulating, but with it comes the many battles of doubt and cognition that wouldn’t have existed if the knowledge was not known from the beginning. This is because good knowledge will be laced with the bad knowledge when you know about anything.

So, who cares about the devil’s lie that we can be more like God knowing good and evil when what comes with knowing is grief and less productivity and that is because having knowledge of what grief is, is thought stopping in and of itself.

There’s more peace in not knowing but knowing that Jesus, who knows everything, is telling me what I need to do and what I need to know. He keeps me from “knowing” and thinking about the things I do not need to know, while having me focus on the wisdom that I would be receiving from Him. In doing this I would not be thinking or overthinking all the time — but doing. So mental note: Don’t think, just do

True peace comes in knowing the knowledge of God and in knowing that everything that He tells me is good. Peace comes in “knowing” that everything that He tells me to do that I need to do is also good, so knowing anything else is not going to be good for me.

  • I looked up the word buffer out of curiosity and had a laugh for the night

I don’t understand why I did it, but I looked up the word, buffer, and the definition for it. It’s kind of funny after reading what it means in British “culture”.

So, according to Webster’s Dictionary, a British buffer:

It is considered an elderly, unworldly, “old-fashioned” incompetent man.

Ah yes, leave it to the dictionary to showcase and expose just how backwards society of any culture is if being UNWORLDLY is old-fashioned and makes someone considered to be incompetent.🙄

Now I’m starting to get curious about what types of words I’m going to find when I open the dictionary… I remember back in junior high when the word, “bootylicious” was added to the dictionary. So, what more am I gonna find? The dictionary might not be as boring as I once thought it was, although the word buffer seems like it should go in the urban dictionary.

I guess this type of guy is not “pop”ular according to “pop culture” since he is an old pops. I also guess that means that this type of person is not accepted by society, making this type of man shunned, or even exiled according to his old-fashioned, intellectual prerogative, that’s just sooooo “last century”.

This must be a “British” way of saying a man is a square… well, the American English call guys over here “simps”… and even most of them use this term loosely and backward, showing their incompetence.

This word seems very similar to what a cultured person may call someone who has been sheltered growing up. Being sheltered isn’t actually a bad thing, though–I would know because I was sheltered growing up. I guess if an “old-fashioned” man is called a buffer, does that mean that I am called a buffet? Oh, wait, that word is already taken, but I do like to eat…soooo…

Well, if that’s the case, CHEERIO! And pass me a BRANDY, and while I’m at it, shout out to all the buffers out there if there are any reading my field notes!!! 👋👋😆🇬🇧💂

I know that it is usually those that are considered the incompetent of society, are who are actually the ones that helped build societies. The boring ones are the “buffers”, which are typically the busy ones, while everybody else is just being busybodies and a busybody can’t be still for fear of being bored or boring. So keep being buffers!!!

Because if the world hated you, it hated Jesus first. 😥

Oh, and tell those who called you buffers, that they can shine their own shoes, and we will see who is the incompetent one.

As Laday “KWE”nela I say, “We the “ghetto” Englishmen love you over heeeeryaaaa, and I don’t think that America or Ameri”can’t” doesn’t hold any record of wrongs based on the last time that you came over here with your red coats. You’ve even inspired our Marine Corps dress blues, so thank you, especially thank you for that because those made me look good in black, thank you buffers!!! Thank you. Now CHEERS 🍻 and Ta! Ta! For now!!!

  • My field notes are more of a casual blog

My field notes are more of a casual blog. The more that you read this blog, the more you’ll be able to see the difference between what’s written here and what I choose to write on my other websites.

Since this blog will be more casual, this means that there is a higher chance of there being more entries published here faster than how they will be on my other websites.

This would be because I’m not doing as much formatting, proofreading, and revising, over here as I am with the other entries and writings that I do over yonder’ because ain’t nobody got time for that.

So that’s good news for you if you like what I write. If I’m just not writing fast enough for your appetite, then consider coming over to my field notes to see if I’ve written anything new. And then while you’re at it, don’t forget to leave a comment so we can start a chat because remember, this is casual, fancy casual.

  • My field notes are my personal epistles

I’m writing a lot lately, but I’m realizing that not everything that I write is appropriate to go in the same types of publications that I have. I needed a site where I could upload my notes and studies on different topics that I have researched or just experienced in my life.

Mixing published notes with the different content and entries that I’m producing on my other sites I figured would cause confusion with the readersand cause confusion for myself.

When it’s time to hit publish I think I would have a difficult time trying to understand how I would want to categorize my notes alongside my essays or blog series for my main blogs; that and the fact that the topics; although similar, would be written in a different style because these field notes are my field notes that are written to me for me.

So, since I have different blogs that are already up, I needed to make a different one specifically for my personal notes showcasing my thoughts, observations, and outlook on life. I figured that since I’m learning a lot on my walk with Christ that I could share my learnings and so that’s where this site sprung up.

I didn’t know what to call this site or know what types of entries that I would upload, but after thinking about it, I realized that my notes are a reflection of my life and my thoughts in the form of epistles. I like that word. It sounds sophisticated even though the gist of this blog seems a little less domesticated…okay Imma stop.

So even though I gave different categories to what each of my notes and epistles would be, I still think of the entries for this site as my epistles. Letters to myself.

I almost changed my mind about how I would see these set of entries of my writing because I’ve been so accustomed to associating the word epistles with scripture; but I also know that not one faction or entity owns a particular word, except for God of course, so I looked up the term epistles, and I found:

The word “epistle” refers to a formal or literary letter. It is a written communication that is typically intended for a specific recipient or audience. Epistles are often used to convey personal thoughts, experiences, advice, or teachings. They can be written in a variety of contexts, such as personal correspondence, religious or philosophical writings, or literary works. Epistles are characterized by their formal and structured style, often addressing the recipient directly and expressing the author’s ideas or emotions in a thoughtful manner.

The definition of the word fits perfectly for what this site is! It is my field notes that are my personal epistles of my life experiences and thoughts, where the main recipient is me directly expressing my ideas and emotions.

By me publishing some of these notes to you, who read them, I guess you would be walking alongside me in the “field” of life. So welcome!

Letters or epistles are not usually formally formatted like how regular essays and articles are on my other sites and that’s what I needed, because when I’m writing or talking to anyone, including myself, —because of course There isn’t anything crazy about talking to yourself; it’s crazy not to. There’s just pure communication conveying points and — well — life.

So there is no formatting or excessive focus on punctuation and grammar. I wanna see how well and how fast I can write with these field notes so that I can be consistent in writing everyday to produce more.

I need to find establish this habit since I’m also doing animations and video editing at the same time. I figure if I don’t start the habit of writing everyday now; then my writing habit might go by the wayside and I don’t want that to happen; but I’m thinking that it is likely to happen, because my main entries on my websites take a little bit longer to produce.

This is also why this website is intentionally designed to be blank, with the focus on text. I may add some of my personal sketches here and there in some entries since these are my notes, but I would rather not take away from what has been written since I want the focus to be on text. So the finished illustrations —if I add any— would just go on my portfolio website if I do upload sketches here.

When looking at many other sites the focus is heavily tailored towards images, colors, and shapes over a focus on text. But here, I like seeing each entry behind a blank wall that we call the internet page. It’s kinda of symbolic for me, because each “page” on the site is initially blank representing a day that hasn’t started yet. and all I gotta do is just fill it in. I’ve always had a weird obsession with filling in a blank page I don’t know it feels so relaxing…

But anyway, even though I have been told that I think how I write, and I write how I speak I would rather not focus heavily on formal formatting that comes with being associated with articles and essay writing, so I’m not going to do that here. At least I don’t intend to, so if you’re reading this, and you’re still intrigued by my personal notes, then be prepared for very, very, VERY long blocks of text since that’s kinda how my thoughts go; but don’t worry; occasionally I’ll add a couple of paragraph breaks because I too need to be able to reference these notes myself if ever I need to look back at them in the future.

So I guess that’s it! If you made it this far, you just might make it through the rest of my notes. 🤭
